Reply to a Thread

To reply to a post on a thread follow the steps below.

Step 1: Determine the Thread

Determine which thread you want to reply to. This could be the thread on the "Introduction" board or the "Replying to an Existing Thread" thread on the "Getting Started" board.

Step 2: Reply

The quickest and easiest way to reply to a thread is to scroll down to the bottom of the page of the thread. There you will see a text box labeled "Quick Reply." Type in your message and click "Post Reply"

OR

Click the "reply" button on the right side of the screen.

After clicking this button you will come to a screen with two text boxes. Unless you are an advanced user, ignore all boxes and images except the text box labeled "Message."

After you are done typing your message click "Post Message" at the bottom of the screen.

Create a Thread

A thread is like a new topic of discussion. Creating a new thread will create a brand new page to post information and have members reply directly to that page.

Step 1: Decide which "category" and "board" it belongs under

On the front page you will see three categories: Class of 1956, Reunion, and General. Each category has separate boards under them. For example, if you want to talk about your hobby of knitting, this would belong under in the "Entertainment & Hobbies" board in the "General" category. Or if you want to post information on a deceased classmate it would belong under the "Memorial" board in the "Class of 1956" category. Simply click the link to redirect to that board.

Step 2: Create a New Thread

Once you have clicked on the board you wish to post under, click the "+New Thread" button on the right side of the screen.

Step 3: Make Your Message

On the next screen you will see some text box areas.

Subject: The title of the discussion. This is required.
Message: The actual message. Type in this box

Message and Subject

Unless you are an advanced user, ignore all other areas and images.

Step 4: Post!
Click the "Post Message" button at the bottom! Voila! Your message has been posted.
